Hatha Yoga is a subject of great interest for people all over the world.

People are becoming aware of the various benefits that Hatha Yoga offers. However, a majority of people are aware of the physical benefits, for example, flexibility improvement, better breathing capacity, etc.

Yoga is therefore considered by many as a physical exercise form. Hatha Yoga is more than an exercise. It is a science of the body and mind, making it a very complete practise, much required in today’s lives where we are constantly challenged physically and mentally.

What is stress?

Common physical stressors faced by many

Fatigue, poor postures leading to muscle and joint pain, muscle stiffness, burnouts, neck and shoulder pain, weight gain or loss due to poor metabolic function, bloating, acidity, diabetes, cancers, heart problems, poor blood circulation, hormonal problems, drop in immune function, etc.

Common mental stressors faced by many

Reduced concentration, financial stress, personal power, stress over personal or professional relationships, poor communication, mental congestion, lack of creativity, anxiety, depression etc.

We often ignore our physical health which creates emotional and mental stress and vice-versa.

Practising Hatha Yoga regularly even for few minutes, helps to balance our physical and mental health.

Of Indian origin, Mehernaaz has about 25 years of experience teaching Hatha Yoga (14 years in Mumbai, India and 11 years in Lausanne, Switzerland).

She is accredited by ASCA (Swiss Foundation for Complementary Medicines) and RME (Registry of Empirical Medicine) in the discipline of Hatha Yoga.

She selects the Yoga practices, according to the medical condition, results of the tests, needs and goals of her client, during her private and group classes as well


Each participant is corrected individually, even in group classes

A combination of the following practices to improve the physical and mental health of her clients/patients


Postures which help to strengthen the muscles and improve flexibility and body alignment. They also help significantly in keeping the body and mind relaxed and calm, due to the involvement of concentration on the breath during the process of holding of the postures.


Breathing practises which help to control the breath and therefore making the mind steady and calm.
The relaxed mind, helps to relax the organs and muscles of the body and hence one feels physically relaxed too.


Practise involving fixing the mind on an object. This helps to improve concentration.

Dhyana or Meditation

Continuation of one pointedness of the mind in an unbroken flow. Helps to calm and steady the mind and hence also the organs and muscles of the body relax and become more efficient.

Shuddhi Kriyas

Practises which help to reduce sinuses, cough, regular colds, digestive and excretory problems, to clear the nasal passage and therefore enhances respiratory capacity.

Please note that cancellation of appointments must be done 48 hours in advance, otherwise they will be charged. Thank you for your understanding.

Seasonal subscriptions cover a defined period of time. Missed classes are neither refunded nor postponed.

Any registration confirmed by email or telephone message will be due and final, if it is not cancelled by the same channel within 7 (seven) days of confirmation.

Payments to be kindly made within 7 (seven) days from the date of confirmation for private, semi-private and group classes.
